Position Summary
The Line Cook prepares high-quality food safely, efficiently, and consistently according to recipes and company standards. This role works closely with the kitchen team to ensure excellent food quality, smooth service, and a clean, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Prepare menu items according to recipes and specifications.
- Operate grills, fryers, ovens, broilers, sauté stations, and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Stock, organize, label, date, store, and rotate products properly.
- Keep workstations clean, sanitary, and organized throughout each shift.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, health, and safety procedures.
- Complete opening and closing duties accurately.
- Communicate professionally with managers and coworkers.
- Assist with prep work and other kitchen duties as needed.
- Support team members during busy periods and help maintain a positive work environment.
- Attend scheduled meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of kitchen or line cook experience preferred.
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes and portion standards consistently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
